Crapatian tour

Our meeting would be at the checkpoint of Beregsurány on Friday morning. We would go for a drive around the Ungvar National Park on Friday. The attraction of this region is the Nevicke Castle, we will go up to the 1200 metre situated radar-station that is located on the Polish- Hungarian border on East-Beszkidek. This military base was in service until 1991, and
”look over” nearly the whole airspace of Europe. The off-road section of the day can be told mediocre, its length depends on the weather and the choosen route, but it could be 60-80 kms long. The accomodation on Friday would be in the Voevodyna hotel
( www.voevodyno.com). The price of the accomodation was 4000 HUF/person in 2006, which also contained a breakfast. The hotel also functions as a wellnes centre, so it serves lots of facilities, and everybody can find his favourite service among the offered facilities.
On Saturday our tour will be on Borzsa-snow-covered mountains, its highest peak, the 1670 metres high Sztoj, will be driven around. Then our destination will be the Szinevér National Park. The Szinevér lake, the unique tarn of the region found here, which is the name-giving of the park. The accomodation on Saturday will be either in a hotel or in a tent depends on your request. The advantage of the tent is that we can drive in the surrounding mountains while we feel like it.
One of the most beautiful parts of the mountains is the Kraszna-mountain that located from Alsokalocsa to Királymező through Németmokra. The off-road part is rather difficult that’s why the settling of the route depends on the weather and the success of the previous part. If we have time we will visit Körösmező through the off-road part of the highest plateau, the Szvidovec (1700 m) from Királymező. Our next destination is the Geographical Central Point of Europe, here we have dinner, then drink champagne by the obelisk that symbolizes the central point. After this we enter Hungary by Tiszabecs and return home with special memories.
The offered accomodation appears at cost price. The price of the accomodation is not in the proposition. The plan of the route can be changed , so we can start with the more difficult parts, in this way the last day would be easier. It may be possible that we can’t finish certain parts because of the weather. The significant historical and cultural buildings and statues will be shown to our guests. On one of the three days there is no way to have lunch in a restaurant , that’s why we have to provide for sandwiches for lunch, but we can make cold lunch at the lodgings. The prices of the reastaurants are lower than in Hungary and it also would be a good idea to taste the local specialities. The tour is 590 kms long on the Ukrainian side (from this off-road 30-40%) It is good to know that in Ukraine fuel prices are lower than in Hungary, and there is a facility to fill up gas. The cars should be prepare for the performance of the off-road parts, and some experience is also neccessary. During packing you should keep in mind that sudden change of weather is quite frequent. The weather is always colder on the plateaus that lie higher than 1000 metres. The tour can be carried out self-sufficiency, then the tourists’ Sunday lodgings will be in Tiszaújlak. In the guests houses the price for one night is 5000 HUF/person. This price includes the dinner and the breakfast. The shower and the meal is offered on the last day of the tour. The price of the tour is 250 euro/car with self-sufficiency and illicit camping. The tour starts with 5-8 cars, and the tours will be accompanied by the organizers from checkpoint to checkpoint. It is also possible that our meeting is on Thursday and not on Friday. This means that we should spend one more night on the lodgings, so the price of the tour increases. But on Thursday afternoon we can visit some interesting places like the Plum museum in Penyige, the wooden headboard cemetery in Szatmárcske, the water-mill of Turisvándi and the Móricz-house in Tiszacsécse. The lodgings will be either in the Székely hostelry in Tunyogmatolcs or in Tiszaújlak. The price with dinner and breakfast is 40 euro/person in the Székely hostelry, while in Tiszaújlak the price is 30 euro/person.
In 2006 the tourists took part in a mine tour in the Szlatina Salt-mine, the price of the mine tour was 15 euro/person. This facility is offered to our guests in 2007 too.
